400t Jackup ‘Admiral I’ Fixed For 12 Months on Londons’ Thames Tideway Project
29th August 2017
JUGB’s 400 tonne Combifloat jackup ‘Admiral I’ has been fixed for a 12 month charter by FLO on London’s flagship Thames Tideway tunnel project. The Ferrovial Agroman Laing O’Rourke (FLO) joint venture will build the £746 million Central section, the largest stretch of the Tideway project on what is dubbed London’s £4.2bn ‘super sewer’.
‘Admiral I’ will provide a key over water self elevating platform at the Blackfriars Bridge site to mount a 300t crane constructing piled cofferdams and servicing the tunnels’ deep underground construction work itself.
